Five Ten is a San Francisco Bay Area world jazz ensemble bringing together five internationally accomplished musicians with deep roots in jazz, Latin, and global musical traditions.
The group features master keyboardist and composer Steve Carter, bassist and composer Dennis Smith, multi-percussionist Marquinho Brasil, Grammy-nominated steel pan virtuoso Jeff Narell, and drummer Billy “Shoes” Johnson, whose career includes performing with Santana and Frankie Beverly and Maze.
Each member of Five Ten brings decades of experience performing on major stages around the world, and together they create a rich and vibrant sound that blends jazz improvisation with global rhythms and contemporary influences.
Their performances reflect both technical mastery and a deep sense of musical connection, offering audiences an engaging and energetic listening experience that celebrates the international spirit of jazz.
