San Francisco trumpeter Mike Olmos leads a special Miles Centennial Trumpet Summit at the Fillmore Jazz Festival, honoring the enduring legacy of Miles Davis.
A powerful and expressive voice on the trumpet, Olmos has established himself as one of the Bay Area’s premier jazz artists. Known for his lyrical phrasing, dynamic improvisation, and deep respect for the jazz tradition, his playing bridges classic and contemporary styles.
Olmos has performed extensively throughout the United States and internationally, sharing stages with major jazz artists and appearing at prominent festivals and venues.
