Sonny Fairley has a standard jazz and contemporary jazz sound with upbeat tempos and smooth mello saxophone as well as flute. for over 20 years, Sonny, a versatile and multi-talented professional, and within the past few years, released two CDs, Mello Madness, Raising Standards, like Sonny, conversation, and my newest release filled my groove. Sonny has played at various local, regional, national, and international venues and has performed and shared stage with nationally renowned and local talent, late great Calvin Simmons, conductor of the Oakland symphony and the likes of Lou Rawls, De Wayne Wiggins of Tony Toni Tone, Charlie Wilson of the Gap Band, Leny Williams, and Rodney Franklin just to name a few.
