The Fillmore Jazz Fest was nearly cancelled this year, but a large donation from Avenue Greenlight saved this historic San Francisco event.
Thousands turned out for the Fillmore Street Jazz Festival July 5 & 6th – proudly presented by the Fillmore Merchants Association and made possible by Avenue Greenlight.

Supervisors Steven Sherrill and Bilal Mahmood provided recognition for living musicians John Handy, Fillmore Slim and Bill Graham posthumously for contributions jazz history.
Headliners The Zepparellas, Fillmore Slim. Caribbean Allstars, Ricardo Scales, Larry White Experience and more. Over 250 musicians performing on 3 outdoor stages and 2 indoor stages plus several dance dance locations: Sheba Lounge, Boom Boom Room and long-standing appearances with Groove 8.
The Fillmore Street Jazz Festival blends art and soul in one of the country’s most unique neighborhoods. The largest free jazz festival on the West Coast, drawing thousands of visitors over the Independence Day weekend. From sunup to sundown, visitors can groove to the sounds of live music from multiple stages, browse the offerings of 12 blocks of fine art and crafts and enjoy gourmet food and beverages. Asian to Cajun, paintings to pottery, old favorites and new directions, the Fillmore Jazz Festival is legendary.
Avenue Greenlight is a San Francisco-based nonprofit initiative dedicated to revitalizing commercial corridors through targeted funding, creative placemaking, and community-driven programming. Its signature events, including the Fillmore Jazz Festival, draw visitors and amplify the spirit of this iconic corridor. Established in 1906 the FMA is oldest merchant association in San Francisco.
