Fillmore Jazz Festival 2026

The Caribbean All-Stars are a reggae ensemble based in the San Francisco Bay Area, founded in the 1970s by Trinidad-born drummer Hugh “Sweetfoot” Maynard. The group brings together reggae with Trinidadian calypso, soca, and steel drum traditions, reflecting the Caribbean musical influences that have shaped their sound.
Over the years, the band has performed throughout the Bay Area and beyond, appearing with artists including Carlos Santana, Taj Mahal, and Narada Michael Walden. Their recordings, including Paths to Greatness and Calypso Favourites, document the range of styles that inform their work.
Their appearance at the Fillmore Jazz Festival reflects the broader musical traditions of the Fillmore District and its longstanding connection to Caribbean and reggae music.
