Join legendary pianist, composer, and bandleader Todd Cochran for a special Lecture-Demonstration exploring the creative process behind jazz composition, improvisation, and performance. A pioneering force whose career spans collaborations with Santana, Bobby Hutcherson, and the late Pharoah Sanders, Cochran brings decades of musical wisdom and innovation to this unique session.
Joining him is acclaimed Bay Area pianist and bandleader Ricardo Scales, a longtime Fillmore Jazz Festival favorite whose soulful style and deep roots in the region’s jazz tradition have made him a beloved presence throughout the weekend.
